What are coins for?

Is there really anything worth spending your coins on? I've only found an explosives, seed and pet shop so far. Most of these are pretty pointless. Is there anything worth saving up for in the later levels?

Hi, in many worlds you can find ore shop which can be pretty usefull for somes ore like titane^^
Moreover, some event world have a shop too, like in chrismas one.
You could bought all "elf" skins and unique pet.

If you find a rare npc you can buy things

Personally my favorite use is the explosives vendor, also up there is the pet dude, and the alchemist which sells normal healing potions and some crops, like potatoes, outright, not just the seeds. However there seem to be no new shops after the dragon boss which is dissapointing.

Hmm, I guess I'll have to keep searching for the alchemist. I've heard that one npc may sell ore. But that could be just a rumour. Really it seems weird that you lose money from death, but money isn't really important at all.
