Way to Salvage Drops?

Honestly, I just want an easier way to get Sun Diamonds. I can barely find any on the two islands that posses them, and I need 42 Sun Diamond Dust - that's 420 Sun Diamonds. I've just resorted to hunting down Hallow Knight Overlords.

The thing is, I've got a bit over 30 Refined Sun Diamonds sitting in a chest - if I could un-craft them or whatever, it'd be a great help. I understand having the full 12 Sun Diamonds may be much, so even just a percentage, like 2/3, would be great.

Create a secondary world and use it as a resource world. OR make one of the ore finder things, if they haven't removed it. (Had stopped playing for awhile and some crap has been changed)

Try going to the worlds that have the sun diamonds (and the other worlds of the same type, regardless of if they have diamonds or not) at night, and see if any of them have Hollow Overlords as enemies. Farm them. They can drop the sun diamond dust. This is the stratagy that I have used for gathering decent amount of sea saphire dust and moon opal dust as well, jsut within their corresponding biomes.
