mysterious portal event

Were doing the mysterious portal event. Is there something we should be looking for on the islands? Or is it just a place to just visit. Thanks!

It's mainly just a place to visit as far as I know, there's plenty of ores too. You can get a cursed damage resistance flash off enemies though.

The main amount of collectible loot is actually from the mummies that spawn at the portal that takes you into it.

They drop a lot of gems, rare recipes (such as a halo/horns/different colours of concrete and carpet) and crafting materials.

there is also some sewer network depending on the size of the map, with chests hidden in there, or on the top of some towers.
You can find various interresting recipes in there too.
