Hong Da Shu location?

So on the wikipedia it says that there is a vendor in the mountain temple island of the spring event named Hong Da Shu and he is apparently selling really nice things like the recipe for the temple doors, temple gate, etc. I found him in the first island but he only sells fireworks and stuff. Basically my question is, does Hong Da Shu have a set location in the mountain temple (Like somewhere inside the temple)? Or do I have to search every inch of the mountain temple island to find him?

I found him behind a house not too far away from the temple in my world. I believe he only spawns outside though, haven't found him inside so far.

Me and my gf are looking for him in our small world :( been doing for 4 hours now. If any of you find him would you invite us? T_T

In my Medium world he was in the middle of nowhere near one of the ponds. Hard to see since he was surrounded by trees and such.
On the small worlds I made to grab extra stone lanterns I found him once within sight of the landing pad and the other time he was about halfway up the path to the temple.

His location appears to be entirely random.
Another post suggested making a new small world and running the quests again to unlock the 2nd map. The smaller map makes him easier to find. Less area to check.

Yeah after another hour my gf had to go so I just went by myself and created a small universe, rushed to the 2nd island and found him just standing there at the base of the temple, within sight of the pad lol. Now time to mine around 9000 dirt to sell.

that the key: vendor have new location for spawn, when you join to location. So, tp to second island (Temple), check Temple inside and area near the Temple (around 30-40 blocks from temple). If u not found vendor, leave that island and jump back, check temple and space around, not found, leave - come back, etc

He does not change location each time the island loads.
I made a big arrow from dirt blocks pointing down at him from overhead and it is still pointing at him every time I go to the island.

I Found him inside one of the (many) houses around the temple.

hm, ok, np (idk sure)
maybe he have random before "u" find him, and after talk/trade, he get permanent position.
I am sure, i was there before, when i look him l8r. He was not there. Iam run around 3 days ^^
Anyway, i think, he spawn not far from Temple (i saw in YouTube, vendor was IN Temple, at the bottom).

PS: I found him easy from second try by doing my method ;)
