Split screen coop with coop play and cross platform?

Originally I purchased his game, before actual release, in hopes of 4 player split screen so I could play with my 3 children. Now this isn't the case I would like to know if playing 2 player split screen can I (we) join into an online game while local co-op (ing) and does this game support cross platform play.

So basically I want to purchase another copy for my PS4 and set up 2 player co-op on it and the same on my PC an join a internet game so we can play a total 4 player game.

This is becoming B.S. I tried to get answers before release and still can't get any after release.

doesn't answer the other lingering questions tho. So even if i have two PC's can I 2 player local coop on both and join an internet game for total 4 players

I was just interested to know this as well,

I just tried it and YES it does work, have only one controller, but split screen on PC, two players setup and another PC joins and works fine, so I would say if I had another controller for the other PC would would be able to have 4 players,
