Is there split screen on PC or not?

Its so confusing. I see that it was supposed to be out for release so I bought the game today to play with my son. I can't find a setting for split screen or anywhere listed how to make it work. I am probably being dumb but if anyone knows how this works I would really appreciate hearing about it.

There is yes.

Plug a second controller, and you'll get a highlight at the top right corner of the screen on how to join as a second player. Here is a screen:

I guess yes, I see that appearing with a keyboard and a controller plugged in.
I haven't played local coop, so I'm not sure how it goes from there.
