L2 is f2p, i read some ♥♥♥♥ about need items for donations, but the devps said "everything can possible with playing" so i think is real f2p. The paying stuff its like a noplaying for everything but quit the enjoying of the game, sorry for my poor english.

Its not pay to win. You can get everything with ingame cash, including what you buy with the NCoins. There's a lot of people that are simply bad at the game and claim they cant go out of the towns without dying, or that the game is bad and everything about it is bad when they are only 0.1 hrs in the game, that isnt even enough to go through the first 10 levels

Pay 2 win means I can use cash to buy power. F2P means you can't every buy gear that helps you, or "success stones" for crafting.

A good f2p has a COSMETIC Cash shop where any and all items you can get have no bearing on actual gameplay.

So which is it in Lineage 2? Personally I don't know.

I tried to get into this game a long long time ago, I think it was a box price + sub back then. I found the game way to grindy and filled with bots even back then. I have heard it has some good end game pvp, but ill be damned if I have the motivation or patience to get that far.

you can use real cash in many games, but paying 2 playing doesnt make you a winner. its just helps you to save your time and do not wasting it for farming adena. paying 2 wining means you are donated your car to get the 2nd olympiad place and someone else donated one of his apartments to get 1st place. so its a real paying 2 win. who is better donator so this person have a better chance to win, because this game doesnt have any upgrading caps and there is no equal opponents to see whose skills is better with a same maximum armor/level/weapon/enchants. sorry for article mistakes.

As a person who had 4 accounts back when it was still pay to play and had watched the game grow from its very glitchy launch I can say I do not recall the game being forgiving enough to be pay to win. If anything I recall the major problem was botting and gold farmers. I loved running trains on farmers and Feign Death with very large pulls. I would say if you hate spending mass ammounts of time grinding on a single mob to get something or gain exp only to die and lose an item of rather high expense or lose a level that can take weeks of grinding to get back then yea. This is like any other hardcore Korean MMO game that is a very grind intense mmo. So unless they sell ♥♥♥♥ that can make you level super fast I do not see it being a p2w.

*Also have not played in a good few years so I am not sure how it tbh is these days*
