Spoil and Drop Rates

I was wondering if the spoil and drop rates are affected by dual boxing and mentor buffs. It seems I have gone through 45 levels and have only spoiled three or four pieces of thread so far. I dual box because it is quicker and easier to level two identical characters together than individually. But I have noticed that spoil and drop rates seem to be affected by things I do not understand.

before the game went free to play, spoil was a 100% chance to get an item. Or at least it was in my experience. I remember my brother using his dwarf to farm 50 million adenas per day back when adenas dropped way more. Rn since the game went free to play, adena drop rate, and item drop rates are down. To give you an idea, I remember farming in Silent Valley around 2004. Back then, the mobs in Silent gave 7,000 adenas each. Now they just drop around 100~200 adenas. After toying around with my dwarf in the current chronicle, it just feels like using spoil and sweep are worthless skills. If you look at the actual drop rates, for example, the Swamp Assassin (Bloody Swampland, lvl 89 mob) it has a 0.01% — 0.05% chance to drop Immortal Shoes. and if you spoil it, it has a ~ 0.0009% chance to drop a durable braid upgrade recipe. So yea. Really ridiculous drop rates
