In what region are u? Aion (steam version) is only avalible for North America,Aus,South America & others regions that I don't know

You can play on the NA servers even if you're in Europe, just not thru Steam. Tons of people do but they probably have atrocious ping.

You can also play on the non-Steam EU servers but not too many people like Gameforge.

Both versions use the same pc specs but different account one is NCsoft(NA) the other is Gameforge(EU)

u can't do that, steam use the id IP to know in what region ur are,it this the reason why steam region block some games,u can change region ,country ,name on ur profile but steam still know where are u and if someone try hack or use a software to change ip country location steam sometimes can VAC ban,block community/store or lockdown the account- info from http://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/ Section 4

This the reason why the 2 company teams release the both versions here ,the Aion(NA) is for NA,SA,other regions(and this version need NCsoft account to link steam) the other is Aion Free-to-Play is the same like Aion NA but this ver include european severs for EU steam users(this ver use Gameforge account to link steam)

I play aion Na using purple and can create account with steam but will not be added in steam only if you add in non-steam favorite the Aplication Purple were you can open aion live or classic NA , yes me to i dont like gameforce are so expensive and no events , looks like they dont care about the game , i play Euroaion is some how private is old and mix classic lvl 65 max with sharpan and tiamaranta and danaria , katalam and is full of players in special siegi and events are good little poor but still people play
