Aion

Aion

Possible new player here... give me some feedback?
Hey guys! Just noticed this game in the free-to-play section, and it seems very intriguing. But I figured I would ask the community a few questions.

What is the PVE content like? I am generally a casual PVE player when it comes to mmos. I love to quest, do dungeons, raid, etc. Will I be let down?

Is it truly free-to-play? Can I enjoy all of Aion's content without being obligated to pull put my wallet?

I just want to find a decent MMO where I can be casual in doing quests and pugging into dungeons and raids, and still feel like im getting somewhere in the game. I tend to be solo most of the time, usually sitting in the background of a large casual guild.

Any info will help! Thanks! :steamhappy:

I recommend play in the new server called Beritra , but u can still select a fav server :p

yes truly free,u can play and save GP (kinaih) for items..etc , or can use the store and buy with cash,do the quest in group or lone, select a race to save Atreia faith, explore a great world & enjoy ur journey, the game is no P2W it is more balanced,no like the EU version

U want read the new players guide? here remember select u race and follow the guide suggestions http://na.aiononline.com/en/about-aion/players-guide/ :steammocking:

Aion has good PvE content but it is NOT a PvE game. It's an openworld PvP game. You can hang around on the fast track server and avoid PvP until level 60, then you get forced off onto standard server unable to fend for yourself in a PvP environment because A. you've been on fast track the entire time and B. you don't really want to PvP anyway.

I'm not knocking you for wanting a PvE game, just letting you know that this isn't one of them. You're never going to survive post-60 solo anyway. The PvP consists mostly of zerg vs. zerg or zerg vs. some guy trying to solo. And you don't want to be pugging too many instances after level 40 or so. You can but if you aren't amongst friends or really have your stuff together you're as likely as not to get kicked, blocked and trolled in chat for a simple mistake, especially if you're a healer or tank, and that's assuming you can even get people to invite you to their group.

Aion is an old game. It has an established playerbase with many uber-geared veteran players and the PvP aspect of the game, combined with the amount of work (or money) involved with getting geared up creates a healthy breeding ground for elitistism and oneupsmanship. It IS a great game IF you like PvP. If not, well, you play at your own risk.

Can you play and progress without spending money? Yes, absolutely, but the penalty you will pay for free-riding is very many hours of farming.
