Aliens vs Predator: Classic 2000 is a HD re-release of Aliens vs Predator: Gold Edition. It is not a remake, but there is a graphics mod called the 'Redux Mod' (which has been linked by Olde, above) which gives the game new textures and models.

when you say HD re-release what do you mean by that ?
Olde Sep 30, 2014 @ 4:37pm
It is a graphical enhancement mod for AVP Classic 2000. It also includes some extensions to levels, specifically, Invasion, Waterfall, and Battle. Take a look at the trailer below.

You can download it in two parts here and here.

He is asking PURELY about AVPC. Not the redux mod per se.

It is the exact same thing as Aliens vs Predator: Gold Edition but optimised for modern computers.

Oh. He could have been slightly more specific in his question.

I understood fine lol.

He never specified anything to do with the redux mod, he just listed 'redux' as a possibility of what AVPC may be and asked about it. He was specific enough.

"What is this?" can be interpreted many different ways, especially when there is no subject specified.

Being in the forums for this game and starting off with asking if it is a 're-release, remake' should be a clue :P

He also stated lower down 'has it got anything to do with Aliens vs Predator from 10 years ago'

"This" and "It" are not substitutes for a defined subject. You don't begin your essays that way, do you? And when you do, you don't blame the reader's confusion on the reader, do you?

I understood perfectly fine what he was asking. Its all in the attention to detail.

Haha, then blame me for not being able to read syntactically poor English.

I had my own concerns about this... wondered if '2000' meant 'Nerfed'.
With that said, I can confirm, for all intents and purposes,
this IMHO is the very same 'game-code' as the one used in AvP:GE.

With one caveat.... They fixed that intro-sound glitch.

Even the secret-room on Subway is still there.

Now as for the 'net-code', thank God they changed that....
