However, this game AVP Classic 2000 is NOT AVP Gold. It has numerous code changes, functions only via Steam or GOG, and has LAN play removed. It's these coding changes that are most likely preventing it from working on Game Ranger. Additionally, it can only be opened via a Steam game launcher in Steam\SteamApss\common\Aliens versus Predator Classic\Launcher\AvpGoldLauncher.exe. Seriously, you can't even run the actual game .exe without the launcher, which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because it means you can only open the game through Steam.
Although I'm not really sure why you want to use AVP Classic 2000 on GameRanger in the first place, seeing as it only works via Steam and GOG. You'd need AVP99 or Gold Edition to play via LAN. If you're not interested in playing via LAN, what do you need it on GameRanger for?
Edit: You might be interested in getting the GOG version, as (I believe) you don't need to connect to Steam or Galaxy, GOG's client, in order to play multiplayer. I've heard tale of people trying to get LAN play to work on the GOG version.
