Cos personal tastes.

Also Tree of savior is successor to old MMO -Ragnarok Online (RO -2002) and grind was major part of experience of that tittle. A lot of folks that follow ToS are old RO players so they obviously like grind

TOS is not the successor of RO. lol
the only mutual relationship between is the graphic designer i believe (not sure, but something like that) thats it. they were made by two different companies

"The only relations that Tree of Savior have with Ragnarok Online is Kim Hakkyu, the CEO of IMC Games (Tree of Savior's developers), who worked as a lead designer on Ragnarok Online from 1998 to 2002, and SoundTeMP (one of Tree of Savior's composers), the group that made soundtracks for Ragnarok Online."

Seriously though, the game looks just like RO.

For most people this game is nostalgic due to them seeing it as a successor to Ragnarok Online, or even seeing it as a replacement for Ragnarok 2. Now these games have nothing to do with eachother since they're completely different, but a lot of people have wanted a game like this in a long time.

I personally am really excited to farm again instead of getting to max level in just a few days. I like taking my time making a build I'd really enjoy and form my character properly before I hit endgame, which a game like this can offer.

Obviously this is all comes down to your personal preference, and obviously this game won't be for everyone, but yeah, a lot of us have tasted the old days of Ragnarok and are excited to give this a shot. It has a charm. ;)

i dont think its going to be that grindy..... make friends, involve yourself in the community and get party bonus EXP
5 party members = 450%
i believe that information came from ShadowSkill
even if grinding is tedious at least u can enjoy it with ur party members or friends

exactly how i feel even though i have not played RO before but i was a maple story veteran, i still miss those old RPG kinda days
in normal mmos grinding is typically bad. this game seems to play more like an arpg (think diablo or torchlight) in terms of things liek combat in many ways. the entire point is killign enemies

i used to play lineage 1 and after 250h of grinding the same monster, then it gave me the amulet i wanted , was the best day of my life, then they closed NA server :P

People love Maple Story too. That game is all grind and very little art. Some just like grindy games and that alone is the lone appeal to them.
Techno Mar 28, 2016 @ 8:45pm
If you can levelup in MapleStory for hours, you can do this...
Powerful Holy God Mar 28, 2016 @ 8:49pm
the grind isent why you played RO lol, the atmosphere and the class system was the best part, grind is still a negative part of RO that most people did not enjoy which is why the majority of players resorted to bots to grind for them
