is a fire dps mage viable?

I have scoured the internet and havent seena single guide based around pyromancy, is it just bad compared to ice magic or something?

most people prefer wiz/cryo because it offers better OFFENSIVE combination for late games, incomparison to pyro. While pyro does offer super fast leveling for early game, only enchant fire is useful for OFFENSIVE late game builds.

But if you are going for late game Support mage build/late game CC mage build, pyro (DoT build) is recomended as most Support/CC class has no decent damage skills.


*do note that there arent enough Dangerous map/dungeons that requires late game Support mage build/late game CC mage build at the moment.

**also there are still 3 ranks that haven't been introduce into the game yet.

Some think that Wiz3 & Thau3 might be the future dps because of the +50% more damage (Wiz3) and the 710 mAtk (Thau3).

Best for cryo is Wiz > Cryo3 > Elem3 if you have to pick anything else: Psyc1, Thau 1/2, Chro3, Feat1 or Link3 you get up to 150+ you understand why.

The Rank 8 Classes are Mimic & Taoist.
The Rank 9 Classes are Enchanter & Onmyoji.
The Rank 10 Classes are Sage & Shadowmancer

My advice every time I see a post like yours: The game is new, it's unfinished and no one tested all the possibile combinations to say a thinks like " this is the best build and this don't work" maybe a popular build is actualy worse than a strange build no one is using because, it's look strange.

So try what you want and have fun =) maybe you will surprise yourself.

Well i don't totally agree wiht you since this game as been released in korea for quite a while , of course some things can still be found like in everygame . But for mage i'd say the best dps of course it s only what i heard and saw would be , 3 wizard wich is a pain to lvl up , then 3 elementalist , and finally warlock .
