The 6Scout is better than others.
Swift step - Cloaking - Steady shot - Snipe/Headshot/Covering fire
When skills cool down, swarping a bow and use multishot, barrage .. other Ranger/Archer skills
This is the best Archer tree in Korea :)
People tend to write up guides in the builds, and there's plenty of different builds. Also check out the official ToS forums under the archer section - if they ever start working again. Lots of 504 errors atm.
The build I am going for: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/a3756apwbb/
The build I almost went for: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/t506c716dh/
I'm a Quarrel Shooter lover, but Musketeer can play into a lot of builds, so just look at the first link if you're not into QS.
Stats 1 STR, 1 DEX, 1 CON. Some people go for 1 STR to 2 DEX or vice versa. Just don't be that person who grabs 0 CON. 30 SPR on most chars is a good idea, but no higher really, just a bit of extra SP & magic defense. Unless you're a Fletcher, I suppose.
You get much better dps with full str or 9:1 (str:dex) or if you want more balanced (And easier cause early game archer evade stat is huge) aproach 3:1 (which is better for skill damage)
It was calculated times and times again, and even with theoretical class 10 and 599 stat points it it still DEX was not the best choice for some builds (Like every one containing QS3 or Wugushi)
So if you decide to go QS3 (anything after) do yourself favor and go 3:1 (in case you use non wugushi skills) or 9:1 (in case of wugushi being in build)
Con is good to add slowly up to roughly 50 what is enough to survive in lvl 200+ dungeons with apropriate gear (with less you need to armor switch depending on mobs)
Spr is waste of stat unless you are Fletcher (yeah it adds a bit of mdef, but no stelear ammount and once you pass initial levels you can never run out of sp on archer class, cosidering you will be bombarded by hundreds of sp potions from quests) as its very hard to run out of SP on most non spammy archers
And another two possible builds for Musketeer
Wugushi, as he is 3rd most powerfull damage class in archer tree (after Musketeer and Cannoneer) and will provide you with some AoE, while heavily scaling from same stat musketeer benefits the most, Strenght.

Sapper as he also scales nicely with str, have lot of AoE with Broom and Claimore trap. You can swap Scout at Rank 6 (which is there mainly for PvP purposes) to Falconeer to get more AoE going

Well or machine gunner build Anita suggested
I am using similar one with huge sucess, QS3A3 3:1 (Str:Dex) and will end it with Cannoneer (Spammy AoE of Cannoneer will benefit from some extra dex while QS3 running shot dmg will not suffer that much compared to 1:1 or even god forbid redit "popular" 1:3 builds)to make up for lack of any AoE skill at my disposall
Ultra easy to get World boss reward with it and safe, as I can stay out of range of 90% of boss skills with kneeling lvl 10, dev knew why they nerfed it to ground in beta)
You need Circling to do some serious AoE as it allows some skills to bypass target number limits as long as your hawk is using circling skill.
Also hawk attacks are not half bad dmg wise :)
Crossbow is better most of the time past lvl 100 cause you are ignoring 25% of enemy defense more than making up for lower base damage of weapon. On flying mobs heavy map it might be good to bring bow with you as you deal double damage with bow against flyers with maxed atribute (but gap is not that big and against ground enemies even much more powerfull bow will start to lag behind crossbow damage output cause of enemy defense).
On QS prime choice until lvl 120 is Grand Cross, which will suffice. Even on lvl 170+ it still deals reasonable damage as running shot scales heavily out of srenght. I actualy keep grand cross in other slot to switch for casting running shot and as emergency weapon. (Still did not figured out where Didel Grand Cross drops)
Bows are better for skill damage, and muskets are right inbetween the two raw damage wise. More than crossbow, less than bow but with musketeer skills at your disposal :)
TLDR
Crossbow on QS3
Bow on Ranger/Fletcher as they more depend on skill spam than auto attacking
