They too drop a box that gives a chance of 9 Blessed Shards, a random 380 Accessory, a random 380 recipe of same accessory list, Magic Stones, and they used to give Tome Pages at a small chance on death but I'm not sure if it was removed from the drop table as of the current patches.
And lastly make sure not to over repair gears at player shops and try to get Urgent or Repair Kits to save money which can be gotten via events like the current with the Maru-Marnox NPC or Mercenary Badge Shop as well.
Fishing is good now too if you need a break or want to sleep afk ingame, as now they made the classes like Rune Caster, Miko/Kannuishi, and such other class quest items able to be obtained via fishing too so you dont have to buy an expensive class voucher.
Other than that make sure you run more than one character if you have the energy and time, as dungeon limits are character separate except things like Sole Hunts. And last note I will tell you my biggest gripe is the whole deal behind Tokens as that is ToS biggest gimmick on getting players to spend money on the game.
Since not only do you be only able to sell one item per character without it, but you have to wait like a time frame just to receive your brokered earnings. I'm not gonna tell you to spend money, but I would say every now and then invest in buying yourself a token via broker via Silver.
This is mind bendingly terrible.
It's boring and "slow", but gives you money and exp to start doing the things the comment above mentioned earlier.
If you're ever missing a few levels for the next quest just do the next best daily instance in town or (if you're a new player) collect your episode rewards in the quest list episode tab. Both should give you enough exp for 10-30 level so you can keep going or even skip some of the boring quests.
If you need new equip the wings of vaivora npc will give you a new weapon and complete set for your level every 50 or so base levels.
This should pretty much keep you going until late game where the actual money problems start. xD
I was looking at buying my L270 gear and that is just not in the math right now with this BS change.
I would say the issue is worrying about buying L270, which is just going to be replaced at 330. You basically shouldn't even worry about buying equipment until well past 300.
As the previous person mentioned, you can get new equip at wings of vaivora npc. Just grab the L270 keldoran alliance crates and move on. L270 gear is very much in the math, because the cost for full basic gear of purple quality is grand total of 0 silver.
Sure, if one finds or can buy better (usually hand me downs from other characters, or at least bought off some shared silver surplus, not always option for a first character), by all means use them, but decent base gear that is free is all you really need. Its of plenty good enough quality.
To get the next quest in the story you should look at your quest log (F5). If you are around Dyna Bee Farm, you should be around Episode 7-2 in the quest log.
As for gearing up, the keldoran alliance gear is enough until lvl 400+. Plus with the recent patch you'll get by the end of Episode 12-1 some really nice gear.
To get silver now as F2P, the quickest way would be to drop a Skill Gem and manage to resell it through market. The daily mercenary mission pay low wage, but it's still wage (around 125k per mission @ chara level 310+). Also doing some repeatable quest are a slow but steady source of income. Add some dungeons run to the mix and you should get some silver in no time.
