To change base class, just make a new character (if your only to that 2nd class choice, your not that far anyway).
Other notes is that bar on the lower right of your class advancement screen that builds up to 3000 points. If I remember correctly it costs 1000 points to change a class. (could be only 500, been a while since played.)
Otherwise, what class did you add to wizard? Maybe its something I have some experience with, and could give you better advice on HOW to play it.
I know i need the book to summon the cat familiar. But that 2k a pop thays nuts. And i know i need cards to summon other monsters. But i have no idea how to find them....
And i have 1700points. I have read it cost 1000 points to change but its still saying i don't have enough points.
Ok so went sorcerer before you had monster cards I got you. Unfortunately, the best advise other than to reclass, is to get to the proper level (can;t remember if it was 40 or 50) to run the 1st dungeon with some bought buffs on, or at least reach the point where you can properly use the market.
It may still be possible, to get a card off the loot drop at end of dungeon (been a while so not 100% for sure).
Once you can use the market, you can buy some of the cheaper cards, and save up for the more select ones.
As for the cat familar, its not like other summons, all it does is appear, buff and disappear once done. The best option to have a summon, before you have cards, would be the summon salimanion (pretty sure I butchered that name, sorry). It will actually act in similar manner to the cards one.
Bats are also an option, but they are much more of a usable attack than summon.
