dude why do you have to go and trash the game? like, explain the reasoning why its bad at least.
If you are expecting something like pre-renewal RO then no, this game is a lot more linear than pre-renewal RO. Also, for the first 1XX levels all you do is a sequence of quests, theres a lot less "monster grinding" than pre-renewal RO, this one is more quest-based. That feel of "where should I level up now?" is completely absent in ToS for the first 1XX levels, the game holds your hand and tells you where you need to go and what mobs you need to kill. However, the freedom in character builds is still there.
The art style is similar. The feel is somewhat similar but it can be a little less grindy at times I guess. There are some .01 drops for some things though.(soul gems) Art is certainly similar. Hats. idk bout pvp. The sense of danger isn't as prominent early game. My highest level is just level 120-ish.
Overall I'd say this is a mix between Ragnarok online and modern action rpgs or something. I like it for now.
@DMBee: Impressive, 450 hours and still you're saying the game is bad? Did you hold on to it hoping that it would improve and only gave up the game recently or why do you have so many hours?
@JSG: To be honest I didn't like post-renewal that much but mostly because of 3rd classes. New maps, dungeons and instances are always nice so I did not mind that at all. The music of ToS is made by soundTeMP? Really? :o It really is an important factor for me because I care a lot for ingame music and the RO soundtrack was absolutely amazing! I don't mind the game being linear but I hoped that leveling in ToS would be like RO, less quests and more monster killing in order to level up. I believe that's one thing I loved the most about Ragnarok because I'm not a fan of quests since they are always the same sh*t.
@Mlyrin: The thing with the cards and gems sounds pretty good! What is the max level?
What about the playerbase? I heard there are a lot of bots. Also whenever I search up things about ToS I don't find much english stuff. Are there lots of english players, too?
Lol idk. I'm still pretty new, but you can upgrade cards and gems(by combining them) and whatever max level that can reach is probably the max level of the skill increase I guess. So far I've reached 5 and can go to 6 (normal gems). So I'm guessing 10 is the max. I could probably look it up but I'm a lazy butt.
Also yes there are bots. Ro has bots (quite a lot). Bots are everywhere in every game. In this game it's mostly that they're either in town spamming. I am not at the higher levels so I don't know if there are bots at the end game but most of the maps I see don't have any.
Jump n shoot is da best. I also like playing with a remote.
