Remove sound from Yellow alert or have minions constantly armed?
I like to always have my minions armed, So they can react to kill tags on a distance.

In order to have them armed, I have to go to yellow alert.
The alarm sounds and my minions will arm themselves.

If I go back to green alert, then they will deliver their weapons.
So in order to have them armed constantly I have to be on yellow alert.

The alarm sound will get really annoying after a while though.

So my question is, is there a way to mute the alarm while on yellow alert or is there a way to have my minions constantly armed?

I won't mind having the sound when on red alert though, as I only use that when a super agent is bugging me.

I've looked through the configuration files, but I didn't notice anything regarding the alarm.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Thanks!
I've played the game for years and never knew about the doubleclick function.
Much appreciated. :steamhappy:

I know the feeling! Back in the day, I used to mute my speakers.

One warning tho, it's only "double-click" in that you click it twice, once to activate and once to silence. You know, as opposed to some controls where a "Double-Click" has a distinct meaning from a "Click". Rather than a "Double-Click" it's two separate Single Clicks, and the time between them has no meaning.

When you come back to Saved Game where it's active, it will default to Noisy and only a single click is needed to make it Quiet again (but still active).

I was on the verge of snapping one day until I found out that I could do that. I found out naturally by double clicking out of spite.

removing the sound is a heaven sent I have had this game since it first came out and that bit has alwat eluded me. Because of that I only sparcely used my alarms. Now if it is run continuesly will it affect morale, energy or other factors and will having yellow over red do any difference?

The only real problem I can think of is that certain members of the Forces of Justice will get trigger-happy when they see your minions packing heat. If you're trying to run a low profile, that'll definitely mess things up.

On that point, it might be better to leave the alert turned off unless you're anticipating trouble. Like that one Objective where you know that one Mob Boss is sending his own goon squad rather than join up quietly. You want to be ready.

Huh, I thought it was a mod feature. Oh well, I stopped killing every agent I see a long time ago. Weaken is muuuch more powerful. Sets them to zombie mode and sends them back cold so it lowers your heat loads faster.
