Cant find new minion types

Ive been playing for a good amount of hours now, made a couple of new games but in every game i always get stuck because i cant find new minons, Scientist, Marksman, Spindoctor etc. Im not quite sure how it works since ive never found any, what i do is i simply send minions out to plot around the world, in hope that they will find something.. But they dont. What am i doing wrong? ^^

What type of minions are you sendiing out? Valets are worthless. Scientists are the best at searching but of course you have to find one first. I send two workers together to plot at game beginning. Scientists can be found in Russia and at the south pole but only after you have obtained the Lab.

Many minion types can only be found after you have completed certain tasks.

yeah you have to get a certain amount of notoriety before the more advanced minions can be obtained.

Im sending Technicians for plotting and Guards for stealing, since I only have the first "tier" of minions my options are very limited :p So what i'll have to do is, keep snuffing out those acts of infamy and complete them to raise my notoriety until I can get the minions?
