Trying to make a sound mod

ive been stumbling upon the modding of the game and wanted to make a sound mod for the funnsies but even after looking at some guides i feel confused. For information i tried to use this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1383197562 guide, but i still cant get the sounds to load/change. ive tried naming the sounds i wanna change to the exact same as in the base game and coverted them to ogg as used in the base game.

I found a quote from one of the devs in another thread that sums it up pretty well. It's the same logic as replacing the boulder voxel in the guide. Are you putting your sounds in the right folder, and are you enabling the mod package before starting a modded game (under Local Mods)?

To make a music mod, create a folder inside the Barony/mods directory (EG: Barony/mods/*yournmodname*/). Convert whatever music you want into to OGG format, and put it in your mod folder under Barony/mods/*yourmodname*/music.
Name all your custom OGGs to match the names of the files in the Barony/music folder.

When you load your mod in-game, it'll replace all the songs that have the same name with your modded ones!

thats the issue i tried renaming the sound the exact same and did convert and put it in the same place in the mod folder where it would be in the base one but they wouldnt work. and i did play modded with my mod active even tried to turn it off and on again but still didnt work

Perhaps upload your mod, and share it! If we could see your folder structure and files, maybe we can help identify the problem.

alright seems like a good plan. i guess i´ll add more to it before i upload it tho because i dont think its quite smart to upload it with only one change

Yeah alternatively you could share a screenshot of your folder structure. I'm guessing it's a simple problem. Sound mods are the most common mod we have in Barony.
