How long to beat this game?

How many levels are there? I realize that this is a roguelike and is supposed to be tough and random but I really want a game this isn't 3 levels deep and can be beated in 10min with the right amount of luck and skill. I am looking for a roguelike that has longer playtimes for indiviual playthrus

well theres 20lvl with the main boss at the end yes u cud beat it in 10 or less but at 1st just get used to dieing lol.

there are 20 levels by default if you don't edit the level.txt file. If you find more its cause you are finding "secret" levels.

Does editing level.txt make endless runs possibel?

10 minutes might be pushing it. There's an achievement for doing it in 20 and I have no idea how you'd beat the lich without an exteremely lucky run, or cheesing the hell out of Baphomet. Average for my group is 1.5 - 2 hours.

The only way I see anyone beating the game under 10 mins is if they have a few flawless invisi rings and just a crapton of fire and sleep staffs. Heck a few picks or digger staffs would help too. The rings really make the game easy since most normal enemies will ignore you as long as you dont hold a light.
