Jub-baited achievement bugged

Found a bell and a group of gnome thieves. Bell drops, killing gnome thief dead, but achievement did not pop.
I tried reloading savefile a few times, making sure that it's the bell that kills it. No luck.

I know one person who got it. He found a bell that could drop. he restarted the level. got a gnome low hp and took it under the bell. but im still having problems with this one. I can't find a bell that will fall.

I tried getting the achievement in a seeded run with minotaur turned off, the achievement didn't pop for me. My seed was qwer and the faulty bell is on floor 17 to the right of spawn, maybe you will be more lucky in triggering the achievement.

I was able to do it earlier today. I used a fireball spell on the part of the bell that hangs down. that makes it drop after a few seconds. I lured a weak regular gnome under it and it died from the bell. achievement popped.

Thank you so much! Now I have this achievement as well. I was trying to kill the gnomes by dropping a faulty bell on them. I didn't realise you can drop any bell by using fire on the rope and killing gnomes that way. I've run some tests - you can use fire spell, magistaff of fire, fire arrows, scroll of fire (and probably other fire sources I forgot). You can't use the torch, though.

Okay!, thank you a lot, guys. Ended up getting it by using scroll of fire under a bell, then having it fall on a gnome.
Yep, seems like faulty bells do not count towards achievement. I guess it's because it is an "indirect" consequence / kill; wherein other methods require intent on player's part.
