Which is stronger; Mesmer or Conjurer?

Wondering who has the strongest summons.

Mesmer doesn't have any summons at all, so I'd say Conjurer.

conjurer is way better, plus skeleton is easy mode and mesmer is pretty hard

conjurer is definitely easier, especially if you are playing vampire (assuming you have won as a skeleton), but mesmer is probably a bit more flexible since you can recruit just about anything with the charm spell. even rare enemys like thumpus, algernon or shelob. if its not indomitable as shown in the compendium, you can charm it.

Conjurer is OP since it's unkillable follower that keep their level.

Mesmer might shine better in hardcore mode tho.

though i just watched a video of a mesmer with like 400 summons just bum rush the bosses and that was amazing, but that isn't normal. So mesmer might have higher potential but is harder to succeed with.

i imagine they used dominate a lot to get that many followers. i havent used the dominate spell in a while, but last i check i think it lets you surpass the follower limit. its risky to use though, cause it can cost health if you dont have very much mana. also, any class can use dominate by maxing out magic skill, so that just seems a bit cheap. to me, at least.

It's exactly as Duke says, mesmer is the class with the higher skill cap and simultaneously also more luck-based, but when it succeeds it absolutely steamrolls everything with an insane army

Why is vampire good with conjurer?

easy, starting with bloodletting remedys conjurers lack of initial offence spells, which means you wont be depending solely on your summons in early game fights. you can blast rats with bloodletting for easy blood while letting your summons handle the skeletons for their share of xp. you can also use health as mana, both of which regen much faster then skeleton does, so not only are your summons always available even when you are desperate, but you can recall them to turn health into mana when you are desperate! its good for healing spells, at least. you also start with levitate, which is just nice to have in general and is a great grinding spell for magic and casting skill. invisibility is better for that after the last update though...
