Do you keep anything after death?

Is there anything you earn even after you die like skills or gold or anything that you can use on other characters, or is this a purely when you die you lose literally everything its like pressing "new game" every single time. Thanks!

So when i play like dead cells for example i do currency after every run that can be used to unlock abilities that i can use in future runs. Another game i play is halls of torment where after a run i have gold and sometimes gear that can be used to buy upgrades that apply to every run. Just want to confirm this game has ZERO of that, its as if i booted up an rpg, played it, when i die i just deleted my character and then start over EVERY time? There is no progress that carries over on the account that applies to other characters in anyway? Thank you!

Yes, that's correct. If you have the DLC, completing a full game with a monster race will make their signature class available for all other races, but that's all.
