Trading in Shop as a Monster
I am honestly confused why, but I managed to trade with a merchant while I was a Goblin Merchant. Is this something related to the Class thing? or there is a way to mask yourself?

The Merchant class has a unique item. The 'Monocle'. Any Monster race equipped with the monocle can freely trade with Shopkeepers.

Please note this only works while you have the monocle equipped.
If you take it off, Shop Keepers will become hostile.

As far as I know, the monocle is unique to the merchant class and can't otherwise be obtained.

makes me wish monocle could be bought from shops as a high price tool item or hat shop item

I feel this would break the balance of the races. 1 of the downsides to playing monsters is the risk of actually being monsters.

Polymorphing lets you trade with shop keepers and arn't super hard to amass
then theres the whole fact any monster could luck out and fine polymorph spell or play succubus for race default polymorph spell

so I don't get why being able to buy a monocle would be game breaking OR irrelevant to the conversation

On second though yeah fair enough... BUT hats update will probably bring something similar to the table
