Artifact Armour answers/questions! [Megathread]

[Caliđa Myriad]

I keep seeing this item in the game files, but never in game, I'm slightly interested as to what it does, or how to get it in game, I want to test around with it mostly, as I have with some special spells that I actually like the idea of, I'm just wondering: Are these spawnable?

I overall enjoy testing around in Barony, seeing what I can do, and this definitely catches my eye.


Original post was answered, however as most questions seem to be asked here, I decided to make it a megathread for Artifact armour.

Use /spawnitem Dj to spawn em in. We'll be renaming the other pieces to be unique in the future! Just a note you can sleuth in the language file en.txt to find the spawnable item names, the name needs to match up with an entry in that list

So far I have only discovered the Djinni's Brace you can get from completing a rock pushing puzzle but rest I don't know how to get...

I know where to get each piece. (If you wish to find out yourself, do not read the spoiler text)


Sphinx's Veil - Gnomish Mines (Level 2)
Goto the shop in the north-east corner, then use the lever, goto the south-east corner, and, grab it without being hit by spells,

Oracle's Treads - Haunted Castle (Level 8)
Go into the room with two chests, right there. WILL SUMMON THE GHOULS, SAME AS TAKING GOLD!

Djinni's Brace - Sokoban (Level 11)
Do it with breaking less than 3? Boulders. Prefer to break none, however.

Dragon's Mail - Kobold/Cockatrice Lair (Level 27?)
This area is complex... It's full of odd puzzles, just knick it from the Kobolds
It's also what makes me call the set "Dragon Mail" I love that name preferred to "artifact" :P

Wraith's Gown - (Level 33)
Go through the Manor, killing what's in your path, solve what is there, at the end Brad will wield the cloak, if he is slain in combat, it shall be yours


Mirror Shield - Level 10+
Not actually part of the set, but you get it from world chests/shops, or from Incubi. I just head-canon it as part of the set :>

You need to turn off the "Classic" game rule, after killing Herx, you should get a purple orb, if Classic is turned off, you can goto level 25, which will let you continue onwards.

I have the classic rule turned off and I have managed to get all 4 artifacts... To be said... That was tough... The dragon mail dungeon can probably spawn either on levels 27 or 28. At least the dungeon entrance had spawned to me at level 28.

Actually, there's five pieces.

Helmet
Breastpiece
Cloak
Gloves
Boots


You get the cloak in level 33's special area.


And, good to know.

And definitely isn't easy to get all 5 pieces.

I think hardest one to get is the dragon mail because bloody hell that puzzle broke my idea about what trapdoors do in this game.

Indeed, I'd have to agree. It did alot of stuff I never would have expected was possible in Barony.

It was sort of like the Mausoleum from Anti-Birth, I wasn't expecting it.
