how do you get to new levels?

i'm not sure on how to get to the new levels, i've killed the boss and entered the final portal that spawns when the boss dies, but then just the end credits roll.

"Classic" needs to be turned off, if classic is on, you will only have cursed levels (lvl 0 - 24)
If classic is off, it goes from lvl 0 - 35

If you beat Baphomet, does it go to the new levels now?

I didn't have classic mode enabled, but it was Baphomet i killed, and i killed his minatours and imps etc.....then just end credits. Are you saying i need to avoid hell to get to the new levels and only killing Baron allows it?

Yes yes, it's the baron you need to kill to reach the new levels! Even with classic off, killing baphomet ends the game then and there.

However, there is one way to goto Hamlet via the /nextlevel command

thanks guys, killing baron worked to get me to the new levels, seems silly that killing baphomet doesn't.

I imagine that it's for story reasons! You initially enter the dungeon to slay the baron in order to restore hamlet, and going to hell instead is a detour. When you slay baphomet the gods sorta nab you, so there's no returning to hamlet after that.

Yeah that makes sense!

Oh well just finished the new bosses.

Failed miserably first attempt, success second attempt. Needed a lot of magic reflect gear!
