Spawning NPC Party members

me and my friend essentially NEED them to survive. It's just me and him. 2 guys. and it's brutal.

Use ranged/magic, practice the melee. It seems hard as hell but it's not too tough to get the hang of and then it's much easier.

Yes there is a cheat for it. You can type /summon human and a random human NPC should appear for you. You'll have to use your own Leadership skill to recruit him though.

You're welcome to make whatever suggestions you like, but Barony is Barony, just like Dark Souls is Dark Souls and Skyrim is Skyrim, except we have 2-4 people with day jobs working on this game in their spare time. We have open-sourced the code, there's a level editor, and you can alter all the art with free programs, so there's a lot you can do without begging us if there's specific stuff you want. :)

i messed with the level editor earlier. no clue what i'm doing. i'll look at github tomorrow. Not sure what I can do with it. i can't code. It's outside of my mental capacity and not for lack of trying since 2015

Barony is multiplayer, yes. People tend to get best results with Direct IP since Steamworks adds its own layer of slowdowns. If you want to modify the game and play it with a friend, you just have to distribute your modified files to your friend.
