Feature request: Joining games in progress

Right now, the lobby list is almost always empty, because you can only join a game before it actually starts. It'd be nice if we could join a game in progress; it'd certainly make the lobby list look less... dead.

My thoughts on making this work:

1. New players join at level 1, regardless of what floor the party is on; joining late would be dangerous, but help from the existing party can catch them up.

2. Keep characters after a player disconnects, and force them to use that character on a reconnect, so player's can't cheat by dropping their inventory before rejoining with a fresh character.
