Can you start with different character classes ?
Also, how is the fighting managed in this game ? Is it more active or "passive"? As in, are there ways to actively dodge enemy attacks for example or is it just, for a lack of a better term atm, like a pokemon battle where you trade hits ?
A skilled player can beat the game in an hour (or even less), but even for myself when I'm taking my time it can be about two hours.
There are legendary items and it is highly unlikely you will find them all in a single run, also secrets that you will have to decide if you'd like to go for, or not. Some secrets require special equipment or abilities to access.
There are 10 character classes, including variety in both starting equipment and attributes / skills which change quite a bit about how you'll have to approach the start of the game.
Fighting is active. Once you gain enough speed, "hit-and-run" is a viable tactic, but for the majority of the game, you will be best suited by approaching enemies in a controlled fashion, performing a full-strength critical strike, and then either blocking in time with the enemies' attacks, or quickly striking repeatedly to finish them off before they can damage you much. The best tactic depends on your equipment (and skill I suppose).
There is also ranged weapons, but their condition will ultimately degrade, and so generally you may wish to save those resources for when you really need to depend on them. Same with a mana pool. Mana regenerates, but not quickly.
I have already bought the game.
Haha, about that secret level, I found a second way down from level 2 and was greeted by a crapload of gnomes where the first one straight up murdered me :D
Maybe not time for Secret levels yet
Just one more question.. Is there any real point to these rocks im picking up? For now I just pick them up to level my identify skill but even if its a blessed rock, I don't think theres anything to do with it ? And is there any secondary use of gems apart from probably selling them for lots of gold?
I killed a potion shopkeeper (Very hard fight) because he had tons of healing potions and I had a great weapon (Which I even got an achievement for). After killing him I looted enough health potions and other stuff from him to feel comfortable, also over 1300 gold.
On the next floor I was thrilled when I found a shop so I could make use of all that gold. Swinging open the door with a big smile on my face ready to do a bit of bartering I was instead greeted by a few fireballs to the face and died :(
I guess I'll leave shopkeepers alone for now, lol.
Edit : How many dungeon floors are there ?
