That is NOT sexiest. The story revolves around this character, you wouldn't boycott a movie or a TV show just because it doesn't give you the option to genderswap the protagonist.

If the main character had character, I wouldn't mind. But in Far Cry games (except Blood Dragon) the main characters have been little more than hollow interfaces for the player. So a genderswap shouldn't be a problem.

Well, in FC 3 the main character was.... err.... hm. Uh, like Jason, or Brodey or somethin? No, wait, that was the other folks. AH, in FC 2 that guy was, oh damn, drawing blank again. Well, point being, I do remember them both vividly. Uh, just not their names. I am sure I will recall the FC 4 guy/gal as well, but, yeah, not his/her name.

Far Cry 3 is the only one that had much of a story to begin with, you could definitely make it work the a female lead but I don't think it would be easy. Far Cry 2 had a character select, and the main character barely had any interaction with anything. With Far Cry 4 it was set up in a much more generic way, I'm assuming because so many people complained about Jason Brody being unlikable. (Even though that was kind of required for the plot to work but for some reason no one seems to understand the plot, so whatever)

So I don't believe having the option to switch player character genders should be much of an issue for this specific franchise, that being said though THIS game was already made with a male.

Yes there was, and it was actually quite well written. I was disappointed Far Cry 4 made Ajay such an emotionless husk, but I guess Ubisoft didn't want to waste money writing a good character that no one cared about.

Who ever complain about genders diversity in video game, I nearly went brain-dead on their statement. The story of the game could be all about Hero and Savior. Most of those "protagonist" are Male because the Dev like it, Stereotype, No? That how the main-stream game developer roll in my opinion. Even if there are an Option that allow you to select Male and Female, The developer would have a spend more time to write the story that would worth fitting for game because of that Option.. Or just "plain" add the Option and all the story plot-line, and, voice actor will used like they just all the same even if you Male or Female or create somewhat no different. All going to "Useless implement" Bin. If you watch the early access made few people, i sure you notice that the story aim the Male to become a protagonist.

It's sad really, is it not? We (the audience) are so pathetic and desperate to identify with whatever we're interacting with (game, book, movie, tv show, etc), that we are actually willing to demand and/or dictate to the creators that they can't choose the sex of thier characters.
