One huge technological hold back though was that FCI was originally developed on the CryEngine, which Ubi wouldn't likely have the license for it anymore. That means any new versions of the games will have to come along through Dunia. Now Dunia is indeed based on CryEngine, but there are probably enough redesigns and modifications to the engine in order to deserve the new name.
Another thing worth mentioning is that the series is never released on PC or PS. So you may get to see XB1 backward compatible ready before anything else.
Far Cry 1 was really, really bad.
Even so, my opinion remains unchanged.
