Rare stripe wolf.

I've looked in SEVERAL locations using hunter visiont for the rare stripe wolf, it's the last one I gotta tame(BESIDES THE 3 MASTER BEASTS). Where the ♥♥♥♥ do I find it?

the only animal i could not tame or find was a leapoard i just found one up in the snowy parts .. i think i may have run into a few and just let my blood fang or regular sabertooth kill em earlier in the game thinkin they were jaguars

sooo mutch to dooo and people rush tru the game in 20ish hrs i dont get,,its like it be a race to end game and not realy enjoy all fun stuff .

I honestly don't remember sorry Like I said, I thought it was a regular wolf, and it wasn't until the tame finished I realised it was striped. Same with the one I killed and skinned.

The absolute easiest way is go look for the Beast Kill missions. Find one that gives you wolves as the target. There seem to always be 2 rare animals in each of these 'population reduction' missions.

I see these guys every few hours when I'm wandering around. Just start wandering around randomly doing side missions, and you're bound to find one eventually

There is a cave that has about 4 of these stripped wolves you are talking about. I cannot tell you exactly where it is, but it was somewhere between your village and where you find Tensay.

This stripped wolf was my first ever tame outside of a quest. The cave in question i remember was not very deep at all, it was open on one end and you could see the exit at all times throughout. Sorry I cant give you the exact location, but just keep looking, you will find one. Now the Black lion on the other hand... I can't seem to find any

Ands you're probably thinking of the rare wolf. Not the rare striped wold. The rare wolf is part of the mission after you get the owl, and is the first tame anyone gets

I meant Tensay** got my names alittle mixed up. And yes I know about the rare wolfhe sends you off to go get, but I am talking about the stripped wolf... that was my first tame outside of a quest.

Except for in the cave described above, I never ran across the rare strip wolf either on my own or with a sabretooth companion, but I switched to black jaguar a moment ago, and just ran into two in a row during daytime in the wolf territory in the far south of Nasar Run Valley.

In normal mode rare stripe wolves spawn frequently at Nakuti Bonfire (closest bonfire northeast of the village). Just find a high vantage point and turn your hunters vision on. There is also a giant deer nearby.
*Just watch out for eagles there! ;)

You will find a stripe wolf with 100% guarantee (also in survival mode) at two locations - the Cave of Hasari and Marsa Cave (see the maps and full descriptions in my guide).

South of that cave in the area around Sweetwater Totem and Stone Shadow Camp, I came across four or five in one session. I'd already tamed one and bagged one earlier, and was surprised to find a wealth of them today. After placing the totem, I stayed on that rock shelf and watched wolves running by. A couple striped wolves showed up there. At Stone Shadow Camp (which apparently has a particular hatred for striped wolves) I saw two or three more.

So, yeah, up close and standing still, easy to see the difference, but when they're running around or at night, almost indistinguishable.
