Following the Guide

I can follow the guide until I hit the water and then I can't see anything and I lose him. I have done this for an hour now and I am getting fed up, furthermore there is no way do get out of this challenge without starting the game over again. I did not like this kind of stuff in FarCry 4. At least you could play the game without doing this flying crap. If there is no way of getting around this or an easy solution, I would like my money back. It seems that most of the games are made for an Xbox controller. If this is the case I will get one and try to learn how to use it. I like Far Cry very much, however until this one things were fine.

fly around and keep it in view, but your up/down is inverted, on the step that you are under (swimming in lake, not river) the owl is to your right side.

had the same prob the flying controls are inverted

you can change that in game pad settings (even if you don't have a gamepad)

dont press any key when your falling just use your mouse to guide you


it you turn off the key iversion in the game pad settimgs

W will go up instead of down
S makes you dive
A for left
D for right

the default settings it acts like a flight sim
S for up
W for Down
A to bank left
D to bank right

I feel the same on these kind of quests in the games, but I knew I had to grin and bare it.

Tips that helped me;

1) Keep an eye ahead of the bird so you know what's coming.

2) I would let go of the keyboard whenever I plunged into a transition scene, to prevent me holding a key the wrong way when you come out of it, and lose the bird.
