How bad is it really?

I was considering picking this up today after hearing some day 1 reviews, Trying to get a feel if this games worth the 60$ since most Ubisoft games have NOT been worth the day 1 price for some time now. But with the hype this game had around a few friends and some youtube prerelease reviews, I figured I'd look into it abit more, But so far I'm seeing a much greater amount of complaints then positive comments on the game. So whats the word? Should I attempt it or wait till it goes on sale in the ubisoft bargen bin like most of their games? Any thoughtful help would be nice! thanks

i like it so far im on older pc 560 Ti im running medium with geometry and shadows on low i stay at a average 30 fps on 1080 and im loving it but it is harder (i got raped 6 times on one misison cuase game random spawned 2 saber tooths together) but i lucky tamed one now i got my own fanged kitty so far games great

I run with 2 gtx 780s and the game is smooth as butter. 60 fps average with no stutters or anything.

Love it, 1080p getting 50-60 in game moving on my older gaming laptop 40 ish on the benchmark test with high / very high with some custom tweaks in settings

There is nothing bad about this game... Stop believing every trash talker, you'll get less ulcers and you will enjoy your games more!

Played it for 8 hours, its fun, its what you'd expect from farcry. If you didnt like Farcry 3 or 4 then you wont like this, but if you did then you'll like Primal.

People are treating it negativly because its not working for a lot of people.

yea it is a great unique game it is a tad gather heavy but since you play ark you wouldn't be to dimished in gathering hunting foraging

It is a good game, don't mind the negative reviews. The complaints are the most stupid if you read the reviews one by one. They are complaining that the game requires uPlay, all Ubisoft games use uPlay, that's not new. Complaints about crashes, i haven't crashed not even once, so the issue must be on their en. And the worst of all, the infamous Error 88500014 that is the cause of majority of the negative reviews, is related to the user firewall, it isn't a problem with Ubisoft or uPlay.

About the game itselt, the graphics are really nice, it is very well optimized, i'm running at max settings 60FPS on my i7 3770 GTX 680, the game is very immersive, the gameplay is very fluid, with lots of interesting gameplay mechanics, and overall what you expect from a Far Cry game, the same cake dough from previous games, but in the Stone Age.

I sold a bunch of my steam inventory items and got the game extremely cheap out of my actual bank so I might be biased but if I had payed full price for the experience I'm having so far I would not have been upset. I'm 6 hours in so far and I'm really loving it, the bow is personally my favorite weapon and I really love taming all of the rare animals I find. I'd say it's definitely worth it if you're a fan of the series, it's got a similar concept with the towers and ♥♥♥♥ like the last one but it's different enough that I'm not getting instantly bored. Plus it runs a lot better than Far Cry 4 did, at least for me, and my PC isn't a super machine anyway(specs on my profile).

Yeah it must make it really hard to decide reading some of the posts on here. All i can say is that I have played 2 hours so far and i absolutely love it. The graphics are gorgeous and the map is massive. Bigger map than Far Cry 4 i would say and there is so much to do. I havent even registered 1% of the game yet and i still have tons of stuff that i want to do and explore. Going to be many hours of fun gaming for me. Running smooth as silk on Ultra too.

I've heard of a few on reddit complaining about performance issues with higher end cards, unsure what that is about. Even on ultra its playable for me with 2 860m gpus (lower end laptop cards)

I quite love it. and i played all far cry games. It runs great , maxed out except shadows at high, 64-75 fps on 4690k / 970.

I honestly dont get why people are so upset. No one ever said it was something ground breaking or anything but a reskin.. people seem to have been so over hyped on this one they cant see the game for what it is.

I adore it. The atmosphere is awesome, there is a feel to the game that no other far cry has had so far. how the characters interact with eachother etc.. its pretty sweet.
