Possible glitch when gaining XP and earning points for abilities?

Right now I am about to do the last mission for the main story, and I have played enough where I have leveled up quite a bit. However, I dont seem to be earning any XP when I kill animals or enemies. I havent finished unlocking all the abilities either. Has anyone else run in to this or is there now a cap for this? Far Cry 3 and 4 never had a cap, you got to unlock everything regardless.

So, you are not alone, man! I was desided to unlock everything, before storyline ending. My XP gaining stoped, when I have to earn last 10 skill points...My only chance to do this is stealth missions bonuses at besides quests...It is a very hard job, maybe this is a developer`s idea? We are too STRONG for this?!?!

I hope the devs didnt do this. That would be a horrible idea to cap and not let you fully power up everything. Its not fair either, due to the fact some of the unlockables arent available until later in the story.

Ok, I just tried it to make sure I wasnt seeing anything. I picked up a Wenja bracelet and killed a rare jaguar, and got 0xp for it. Such a terrible glitch or a purposeful system.

I must say, Far Cry Primal, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Hitman, all very high profile games, crapping out, anything from Hitman not starting for people, to the Soviet Installation, to my issue with FCP. Looks like I will be getting the Division.

Update: So it is a glitch, I went through Uplay and there is an achievement you can get for unlocking all the skills.
And it happened to me after I beat that Krati lady. I read that it happened to someone after they beat Ull. So to those who have this glitch, just dont play until Ubi fixes it, which could be a while.

Or add XP points with cheating , and then get Achievements for unlocking all

Update: After reading people with PS4 having the same issue, it is confimed I guess, that Ubi put an XP cap on this game. Once you reached it, you have to do side quests that earn you skill points.

I just hit the level cap last night. I was in the middle of a mission and three boxes came up on the screen. One said I had reached the 15,000 level cap, one said that I could still get skill points from certain missions, and I don't remember what the third box said.

This is the mentality of gamers nowadays. Jumping on quick conclusions before checking skills menu which clearly say you are at maximum xp capacity.

I reached it and received XP cap message (press N key and scroll to the bottom) which said you have to complete all remaining side missions.

I wonder how you missed that, OP?

Yes, you are right about losing interest to do all the stuff that rewarded you with XP, but the same happened in every previous Far Cry game after you gained a maximum amount of XP to learn all skills.
