Ull Fight - Stupid AF

The Ull fight is just dumb AF. I do 0 damage to him unless he stands under a icicle and it hits him from the ceiling. Problem is he never goes under them, and I get destroyed by his endless waves of minions. About to say im done. Whats the pro tips to taking him down?

I had no problem getting him to walk under the icicles.

Dang it is giving me fits. I can hit him with about the first 2 easy ones but other then that, I get swarmed with adds and have to move.

This fight was really easy on Hard, I was rather diappointed having died a handful of times when murdering Batari.

Tricks? Keep your distance from Ull and use fire and sting bombs, spears if you can, and use a strong beast for the reinforcements. It should only take a few minutes but yeah he has crazy defence, crazy offence and luckily he moves particuarly slowly.

It is possible to kill him with spears etc w/o using ice? His health seems to not move with standard weapon attacks. I do not have all the upgrades and have not taken down Batari yet.

he's pretty killable with fully upgraded spears, e-z actually ... he moves so damn slow, just take care of the reinforcements with your pet companion and keep hitting him with spears and repeat

I used the icicles only once

killed him on hard, no icicle
just 45 arrows to the face, 18 spears to the chest
10 bee bombs, 8 fire bombs, 2 beserker bombs
10 bone knifes, 8 obsidian knifes, 8 large club throws
6 hits from a large club, and 4 more pokes with a spear brought him down

that being said, he's bad ♥♥♥♥ easy, he's walking like ironman without a power source
you can affect him with the beserk bomb/knife effect
and he's just walking there tanking all that ♥♥♥♥♥

a poor boss fight indeed, but an easy one none the less
killed him in my first try, i was well prepared with all inventory maxed out

Yea probably have more to get into yet. Still do not have bombs unlocked etc. I was just wondering if he could be damage as my spears are upgraded but I couldnt notice them hurting him.

Well yes, you can hit hit with fully upgraded spears.

I don't know if you're actually locked out from causing damage with stock spears, or the fact an upgraded can take out a heavy in 1-2 shots depending on where you hit them and a non-upgraded one takes a crazy amount...

I'm not actually sure how possible without upgrading...

Why do game houses still insist on the tired old trope of boss fights? They have never been anything other than an artificially hyped up, predictable, boring drag that has to be endured at the end of a game. They seem especially unnecessary in games (like Far Cry) with nice rich story lines and no shortage of challenges along the way.

I think of it this way; did Hitler himself have a fighting capacity equal to 100 or 1000 normal men? Of course not. He was defeated when his military was defeated. There was no boss fight, no need for one. Far Cry's 3 and 4 got it about right in my view. Killing the major bad characters was totally satisfying but they were not unrealistic super beings.

I had him at 0 health for about 10 minutes. It actually stopped sending reinforcements. I shot my last arrow into his head and he finally died. I don't mean last arrow I brought. I mean I used all my hardwood, picked up all the arrows in the dungeon, and looted the pouches and bodies for wood. So glad that's done. The feels at the end were almost worth it.

Reviving this old thread because I just beat him lol. I had a hell of a time with him. He refused to walk under the icicles and even when he did, he took no damage for some reason. I only managed to stun him once that entire time. By the time I had him at 0 health, he got stuck in a stupid rock and refused to die until I set him on fire. I shot him in the head, bludgeoned him, everything, but nope. Setting him on fire killed him lol.
