Chasing the Owl

So I chase the guide (owl) and I am flying. For a while the S key works to help me gain altittude - but then it just doesn't and I slowly crash into the ground every time... Anyone else have this problem?

Use a controller, I tried to use my keyboard and it just didn't work.

Use W A D S keys and slow tap them to move the owl as you fly.
The owl isnt on autopilot.

you can also un invert the flying controls in the game pad menu so W = UP and S = down
when i loaded that mission thats what i did ...since thats how i use the wingsuit in Far Cry 4

I have given up on chasing that damn bird.... is there any way tobypass this part?
