How do you apply Ultra HD texture?

I am just a little confused.

I downloaded Ultra HD texture pack from the DLC, and turned it on under Video section.

But when I go into the quality section, my texture quality is still on "Very Hight" no Ultra.

Any thoughts?

now i have the HD textures on, my vram climbs after a while to 5GB of usage, before the HD textures were enabled it pretty much stopped at 3.5GB.

"Very High" textures ARE Ultra HD. Without the HD pack, they can only be High or Normal.

I've always played with very high textures, from first day on.
Only downloaded HD pack today. Two different things, there's no relation.
There's a specific menu option to activate the HD pack.

No you didn't. :) There was never a "very high" for textures in quality settings, just overall "very high" and "ultra" presets, which modified many different things. Textures were always just Normal / High.

If you disable HD Texture Pack (with a separate checkbox) and change presets, you can see it for yourself. Or, you can just dig up some old threads and see pre-patch posts about people trying to find non-existent "very high" / "ultra" textures.

Hi Simbrave, just to check: did you install the Patch 3 before or after downloading the HD Texture pack?

To make your experience as smooth and stable as possible, it's recommended to use at least a 4 GB GPU.

I installed the Patch 3 first then download the HD Texture pack.

We released a hotfix on PC last week, did it help?
It should have fixed this specific issue and you should be able to turn the HD texture pack on and choose your custom texture quality.

Please notice that the visual difference is mostly visible when using a 4K-compatible screen (and the according resolution of course)

dont use it, it will corrupt your graphics, my game now ruined after this patch all i see is crappy clouered shadows now

Thank you very much, it is much more clear now about how to apply HD texture.

To MROOD,

my HD texture is working perfectly, I run the shawdow on hight and I have gtx 970 everything else max no motion blur. I have around 60 to 80 fps.

funny are you playing turning on the HD textures is simple first switch the hd textures from off to on then change Graphics quality to ultra and My graphics run fine to sounds like a graphics card failure issue if your graphics are corrupted as that never happens to me unless my gpu's dying

I don't think so man, you really want a 2K or 4K to take advantage of it
