How do I change my texture resolution?
I don't have a very good computer, but I can run with goof FPS if I set everything to low. When I loaded up the new update, the texture quality won't change. There are no arrows next to it, it's stuck at the Very High setting. I am getting 2 FPS, how do I change the texture quality?

Change in config file if it won't change in game then set to read only

Dakuwan i can't find the config file anywhere. It's not under steam and it's not under Ubisoft as far as I could see... Could you assist further?

Yeah, I dont think primal has a config file.

Go to your lib and DLC, install it. You sould see a option under Video to turn on HD texture.

HD textures isnt the issue. When you go into advanced settings the texture setting is stuck at very high.

Ok I'm not at home, I'll check when I get there. Prolly in the user file under documents, or somewhere in there

I made a copy of the Ubisoft>Saved Games folder (or something similar). I then uninstalled and physically deleted the remaining folder for both Ubisoft and Steam>common>FCP. I re-downloaded Far Cry Primal and UPlay and to no avail, i still can't adjust TEXTURE setting out of VERY HIGH.

The reason this is so critical is because I went through every setting option to find what was the highest i could run and no matter what the other settings were if TEXTUREs was past medium it would crash, everytime, regardless of other settings.

Please advise.

In the Graphics menu, not in the quality settings, there is an HD texture setting that can be turned either on or off. I assume that's how.

yeah this is something i noticed yesterday when i was looking for HD Textures in graphics options. i don't know if changing preset changes the texture quality though but you could try that.

Same here i just buy a game today. my texture stuck at VERY HIGH my FPS is 15 WTH .
I figured it out. Go to Documents\My Games\Far Cry Primal and open GamerProfile.XML with notepad. Change HDTexturesEnabled=1 to HDTexturesEnabled=0 and then change TextureQuality=low

Hi everyone, thanks for the feedback!
We have found the same issue on our side and will push a hotfix very soon.
Stay tuned for an upcoming ETA.

In the meantime, the workaround seems to be to download the HD pack and turn it on. The menu should then give you the option to lower the graphics options. Can you try and let us know if that works?

Thank you for your quick response! (I can confirm that the hd texture pack did not fix this issue as mine is still stuck at very high)
