two annoying bugs

I got the game on uplay recently and I already want to stop because of two things:

1 - I cant fast travel anywhere, whenever I click to fast travel it says unavailable, this doesnt bother me that much yet but I just want to know if theres a way to fix it.

2 - whenever I close my game even after pressing 'Save&Quit' my progress is set back to taming the first animal which is 3% in...

this first happened after I looked at an old post where someone fixed fast travelling by restarting my game, so I tried and I lost a few missions progress and some rare tames, but I still couldnt fast travel. After that I gave it another go, I got exactly to where I was previously apart from one tame then I get killed by a bear and im stuck in the dark screen laying on the ground, I had to alt-f4 to close it and once again I lost my progress to the same 3% mission.

I dont really care if I can't fix the fast travel bug but losing all my progress by just saving and exiting the game is really frustrating, the second incident I was talking has just happened a few minutes ago so it is an ongoing problem.

sorry for the long post but if anyone has any solutions I would appreciate it, it looks like a fun game to play.

btw the mission I closed on both with the crash and the restart is after destroying the three bone trees and doing the vision of ice quest, idk if that certain part of the game is broken, just want to give as much info as possible

you need to capture bonfires/outposts/forts for fast travel. if they are marked with a green symbol on map, you should be able to fast travel to them. Camp fires are ONLY SPAWN POINTS if you die/save near them.

early in the game there will be few, if any fast travel points unlocked.

are you able to at least fast travel back to the wenja village?

no I couldnt, thats what I found wierd, I cpatured some bonfires but it still said unavailable, ive sent a ticket to ubisoft about the two problems but they havent replied.

What difficulty are you playing on? Travelling to far distances uses Stamina and Food, if you're running low on either, you cannot fast travel.

I'm having the same problem. I'm at the same spot in the game but I've never been able to fast travel in any part of the game.

Now it wont even let me save. It keeps saying cannot access main menu while auto save is in progress. I've tried doing this many times and i get the same message every time.

ive been backwards and forwards emailing with ubisoft and they still havent given me a fix, I even gave them my account for a few days and they said it works...
