Insane FPS drop & LAG
Bought FC: Primal. Started it up. I was shocked for it being a ubisoft game that it ran at 1440p on everything on high settings at 60 fps. Not a single frame drop in I guess you could say the tutorial. It's where you kill the wully mammoth all the way to meeting that chick & saving her from the tiger. After that! I would get fps drop from 60 fps to 10 fps up and down, o er and over. I've tried everything in my Nvidia control panel to tweak and adjust. Looked up on Google but not much help at all. Been in the forums here but no mentions really of issues like mine. Far cry 3&4 plus watchdogs had this issue and was never ever fixed. Out of the 200 games I have on steam, none have these issues. If anyone has an answer please reply or help. Specs are i7 3770k 8gb or corsair RAM, evga 980 SC 4gb PSU corsair 850w z77 asrock mobo 256 SSD and 2TB HDD

Did you ever find a fix for this? I'm experiencing the same issue.

Same here on 270x everything on high. I suspect that is from their protection, Denuvo, which does check over and over if the game is pirated or not.

its your vid card...sorry but a 270 X sorry is a weak GPU for the Far Cry games .. how do i know .. i used to have an ASUS factory overclocked model ..i pulled it an upgraded to a gtx 960 last year
and never looked back
also try installing razer cortex

denuvo does not check over and over on my machine , i'd see it in my host services or processes running ..game runs fluid and smooth here
to the op your GTX 980 should be fine ..

again razer cortex may help ya out quite a bit

Hey guys, I fixed it. There are some youtube videos. This is the one I used. Basically just change disableloadingmip0=0 to =1. And change GPUmaxbufferedframes=0 to =1. In the gamerprofile.xml file in Documents>My Games>Far Cry Primal.

Hope that fixes your issues, too!
