Cannot tame a Dhole
What is it with these little buggers that I canot tame them. I chuck meat but when I press on the E key it get a little of the way round before the damn thing is attacking me? No problem with bears tiger, etc but these things, sheesh.

Well, I guess one reason is, they want to be A-holes, not D-holes. :steamhappy:

Not bad, not bad.

However, I cannot confirm this.
I've already tamed the regular and rare dark dhole, without any problems.
You just have to keep your finger on E until the taming is done.
I wasn't ever attacked by any creature, when I tried to tame it yet.

Well, which difficulty level are you playing?

Finally manage to tame the wee bugger, looking for the rare one now.

There is a side quest where you have to clear the area of wild animals for your Wenja clan.
You actually need to kill 11 dholes there, so changes are high to get the rare dark one spawned.
Focus on all the others and when only the dark one is left, try to tame it and complete the quest in that way. ;)

A similar quest exists for the dark jaguar. However, I hadn't luck spawning him, but fortunately I really found a wild one. :D

Good tip about the rare Dhole, I have the rare jaguar but need to find a badger to tame to complete the list.

I play this game for overall 25 hrs right now.
Have only seen a wild one once. XD

Luckily my clan is hunting a few of them so at least I can get the skin for free in the village.
Makes upgrading much easier. :)

However, I've noticed that beside the badger (there are a few places marked for it on the map), also the leopard is pretty rare.
I've found a leopard territory in the north and stayed two days and two nights, but only triggered goats and wolves. :ftired:

I have no trouble with leapards attacking me whenever I am about so got them sorted quite early.
I wish they would add names of the various locations to the map though as it would be easier when offering advice.

It's possible the Dhole has friends that aggro to you while you start your tame. I went to tame one yesterday and its friends aggro'd and attacked me and interrupted the taming.

I was having this problem too, think I figured it out. You've just gotta make sure you're standing far enough away from the bait that you don't pick it back up when you attempt a tame. They're so small they don't cover it up properly when they feed xD
