FC Primal - failed to contact key server

I can't start the game after 100 hours coz of above message, any idea why ?

Doesn't work with firewall on off, I've re-installed game as well and nothing.

there was a guy who found a way to force the game to activate on the Steam forums i still have to dig up his post (gimme a few more min to find that post )

according to the Ubi support pages you should be able to play this game in offline mode

so its not Denuvo thats the problem

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT

make sure you have set your desktop in windows set to a supported resolution for the game AND if you have multiple Screens connected to your VID card unplug all but one ... till you get the game to acually launch , yes the game has a problem with Mutli monitor setups

sorry i dunno why its not launching ..works fine here only hitch i had was on one win 7 system
it would not launch past the splash screen till i opened my WIN 7 firewall settings and set the game to allow the ports for Primal

only other prob i had (on that same system ) i had to use DDU and clear out my older AMD driver set and install AMD 15.7.1 drivers , and thats not your issue since the GPU i have in that old system is only an HD 5770..and the game even runs fine on that as long as i keep the textures set to Normal and the resolution @ 1440 X 900 or 1280 X 720

pretty sure i set my Desktop to 1280 X 720 first tho to get the game to launch as back in march when i bought the Uplay only version of the game i had a crappy old monitor hooked up to that card .. bought a used ACER 16:10 19 inch recently for $12 so now i set it to that screens max res 1440 X 900 and it still launches perfectly

I can't even view FC primal cd key in Steam game library, no issue with FC4 :( not funny

thats some thing that steam changed with the start of the Summer sale

they removed my FC 4 base game key too , it only shows my season pass key

same with FC 3 .. now it only shows my deluxe content Key it used to show both base game and deluxe key

according to Ubi if you remove the version of Uplay that steam installs and download the updated version of Uplay from the Uplay web page

and restart both Steam and Uplay your game should auto activate and link your accounts i guess

got no clue why steam changed the way it handles CD keys for Far Cry games

many users had the same problem with the summer sale where Steam shows no CD key

and i bought the Uplay only version of Primal since it was on sale the day the game shipped for only $35 on green man gaming with the Pre order content
(the lousy mammoth missions)

i didnt wanna pay steam $60 for it ..and looking back .. glad i did not , as those pre order bonus missions were pretty damn weak

oh one other tip that may work ???

i launch my game via cortex

under game options clicked edit game

in launch parameters i added

-skipintro

and i do not have the steam in game overlay enabled .. just the Uplay one so i can use the built in FPS counter (i added the game to my Steam as a non steam game but usually i dont even open steam to play it since my version is the Uplay only one)
