Any way to revive special beasts on Survivor mode?
:/ MY Bloodfang Sabertooth just died to the Great Scar Bear on my hunt. :( What to do?

Nope, can't revive pets in Survivor Mode.

a general question as it say dead beasts can not be revived

but can we still tame a new wolf after our wolf died?

or does this permanent beast death mean only one time?

Patch notes say you can tame a new regular beast after it dies.

But legendary beasts can not be re-tamed or re-spawned after they die.

Ya, kinda sucks that you can't revive especially since they make the beasts you fight way more powerful than they become once you tame them. My advice for the future is just don't use special beasts in really tough fights.

Survival Sucks. there have been instances were bloodfang starts running off a click and somehow manages to find its way into the water and drown. the guys over at ubisoft must seriously fix this glitch otherwise these legendary beast are just there to show off :(

the bleedout time on downed beast in combat is quite long
be sure to stun or kill enemies around you then revive the beast with meat

just don't die .. oh god don't die or your beast will be gone for good
but yea beasts on survivor are a bit more situational than on normal
for example i use rare jaguar to kill off single guards in stealth then i quickly dismiss the pet before he gets in trouboe .. rinse and repeat till area is safe to proceed

PS: which begs the question
what is the best combat Beast to use in survivor.. which one will dish out the most dmg and survive quite long aswell

Great scar bear?

Ya I've run into that, too - I've just made sure to dismiss the special beasts when I get in those areas just to play it safe that I won't lose them. Lost a regular Sabretooth too many times in those situations.

♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugged crap game. My Bloodfang Sabertooth dead at survival mode also because of bug. So now I can't 'use'/tame this pet anymore. I was happy with this pet about 10 minutes..

Every time you see sh*t is about to hit the fan:
Esc, SAVE, Alt+Tab, open saves folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\*long number*\2029) and backup 2029 folder.
If the worst happens, exit and restore backup-ed save (overwrite existing 2029 folder with previously backup-ed 2029 folder).

Good tip, Akunamtataa. I was wondering how to roll back to a previous save. Thanks.
I just had a Jaguar...never used him until a moment ago. Told him to attack a deer. He died on the way to the deer. Pathing issue. Dead without good reason before I could even use him once. Survival is unplayable.

You're welcome. I decided to write a guide to explain saves mechanics in detail and provide some more tips:

I literally don't know how to manage killing creatures.
Sure, if you lure a sabre tooth into the water he may die.

But everything else must be a bad game. Probably my PC just loves me to give me that few issues with almost any game.

My creatures went K.O. very, very often when I played on expert with permadeath. But you can get them up again by giving them a nice piece of meat.
But NONE of my creatures ever died completely.

Don't know what I do wrong or right, but I am glad that I hadn't to struggle of dead pets.

When traversing areas with cliffs and water, I usually send my beast away so he doesn't "die" accidentally (those are bugs in the game). Also when you send them in to engage enemies, if you just call them away quickly when they start taking damage that will save them also. Give them some time to regenerate before calling them back in.

That's untasteful. If you will cheat your way through permadeath than why not just play without it?
