Bitefish????

Im trying to get 100% completion on my cave wall but I can't seem to get the bitefish, its the only one im missing. Do I need to find the rare one or is it a glitch????

You don't require killing the rare bitefish for 100% completion, only the regular one. But you do need to find 2 rare bitefish skins to build Roshani's hut (or 1 skin in survival mode).
Are you sure you didn't miss anything else?

Set the map for hunting grounds icons, get to a fishing spot. Throwing bait in water can be useful in survivor mode since they are very hard to spot... This not a rare animal, just need 1- 2 arrows to kill

Zombit, there is a whole chapter with fishing techniques in my guide, but I suspect this is not a TS' issue - it seems to me he already killed a bitefish, but for some reason doesn't find it in his "cave wall stats"...

Well yea , sry i never watched guides and even less videos to keep challenge and fun, rely on instinct ! . all achievements and 100 % done here..

Possible that your wall thing is a glitch or you got the skins from a stash reward ?

Could it be that you have never actually skinned a fish (maybe you found all needed fish skins in loot/stash)?

Yeah, I suspect you have to skin an animal at least once in order to register a kill in your stats. I will have to check it, though...

Scratch that... I loaded one of my older saves and checked the issue. If you killed an animal, it must register in your cave wall stats, no matter whether you skinned it or not...
So if you did kill a bitefish and it really hasn't registered in your stats, it must be a glitch.
