How much of the combat is against humans?
I'm a big fan of the "modern Ubisoft formula" utilized since Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed Origins, with rpg mechanics and exploring map locations. I originally wasn't too interested in this game because of its timeframe, but I am a big fan of wilderness survival games. So I'm curious like what percentage of the combat in the game is against humans instead of wildlife.

If its mostly against wildlife then that's more interesting to me since I'm getting rather tired of fighting humans in pretty much every other combat-focused video game being released. Killing the animals for their parts to craft new weapons and armor is awesome, like a budget Monster Hunter. I found myself farming animals in AC Origins a lot for the same reason.

It depends. Almost all Story Quest are against two rival tribes, but for Upgrades, new Tools/Weapons or to buid your "village" you go for animals. And Plants.(You need a lot of wood)
To unlock new Camps etc for fast travel you need to kill all the humans there, then your tribe spawns.

If you just explore, then it is up to you. You almost never need to fight. Just run or go Stealthmode~
Ha, Stealth... Stealth was never an Option. "Rides Sabertooth while shooting fire arrows~"

If you stay away from settlements and other places humans usualy go, you mostly fight dogs, Wolfes, bears and many big cats... And Birds, so big they steal goats XD(No joke, you can watch them hunt)

It's still mostly human enemies, though it does have more animal encounters than most other Far Cry games. I would say it's roughly the same ratio of human/animal combat as Far Cry 3 was, but maybe a bit more animal focused.

The combat is at least fairly unique compared the other titles in the series, due to the lack of firearms. It's mostly melee and bow focused, but if you prefer to avoid human confrontations almost entirely it's also the easiest game in the series to cheese through with stealth. The eagle can safely mark enemies from the air, then, along with your other tamed animals, can be directed to assassinate specific targets or drop bombs that either kills or causes enemies to become frenzied and battle each other. All while you remain completely hidden.

At the end of the day though ti doesn't stray too far from the typical Far Cry formula. It just finds ways to adapt it to the setting whenever it can.
