Is there anyway I can run the game resolution in 800x600? I can't put the the games aspect ratio to 4:3 and it doesn't show up. I tried adding a custom resolution to my intel graphics settings and it didn't work. If I try to do it in gamerprofile.xml it doesn't work either.

Mate, I am not sure about the manual workaround for that and I am not sure will it work, but I can guarantee for this guy RAGNOS. He is doing some cool things to optimize the game for low-end rigs. I am not sure will the optimization work for the latest game version, but you can try.

If you don't feel safe to download this program for the optimization cause it comes from a random user on Steam (me), you don't have to. I used the program for several years cause I was playing on an old laptop. Ragnos really helped me.

If it's not on the list from the catalog then you'll need to request for that specific optimization and contact Ragnos directly. Either on Facebook, Twitter or by using the support and feedback option.
Every optimization depends on the number of requests he receives and popularity for that certain game. So you can try, I know he was doing some MP games.

And even if it's a MP game only, it's safe to use it as stated in the FAQ.

OK, thanks. I'm unable to post on the MC forums so, I'm also unable to share this there for others than need better optimization for that game. Sucks, really. If I' the only one requesting for it then, it's really a waste of time to request it.

Not that I have a low end system, I just have a few issues with fps in a few of the games I play. It's the updates that are causing it. Devs lacking to optimize the game in the process, just tossing new stuff into their games. If, you know what I mean?

I see that @ivanmanu51 already referred to me and my software. I'll just briefly comment here and let you know how to do that, with my software "Low Specs Experience" comes an add-on called ReSwitch. It's all you need, set your game to borderless windowed mode and then start the ReSwitch app, set the resolution of 800x600 and press 'Execute ReSwitch' button, and then start your game.

The resolution of your screen will be forced to 800x600 within 60 seconds. If something goes south, feel free to contact me via email at [e-mail] and I'll gladly give you additional info required.

P.S. Be sure to start your game just after you press the 'Execute ReSwitch' button, and also ensure that your game is set to borderless windowed mode, otherwise, these lower resolutions won't work. Hope this helps!

Then I believe that's something where the LSE software by Ragnos won't come in handy. But you may try to contact Ragnos himself cause maybe I'm wrong.

I used RAGNOS Low spec experience and it didn't work and also found out far cry primal doesn't support resolutions under 1280x720.

I'm sorry to hear that, but people tend to say "doesn't work" and give zero info about what is going on. What I think is happening:

a) your CPU is bottlenecking the rest of your system - in which case it can not work,
b) your system is not capable of running the game no matter what, hence the reason you see no difference.

Saying "doesn't work" without consulting with the support team (or without any additional info on the matter) is really not something a ton of people are doing, they rather reach out to me or my assistant and we take care of the issues together. The support section is there for a reason, not to be looked at, but to assist people. Yes, I understand that the software isn't perfect, nor is it supposed to give you an ultimate 200% more FPS, since that isn't possible - but it is designed to help for as long as your system can actually (already) handle the game properly.

P.S. It doesn't support resolutions under 720p, but with ReSwitch it does, if done correctly.

I found out I was an idiot and the reason why I wasn't seeing a difference was because I wasn't using the potato low option and when I used it I get +3 fps which is pretty good for me. And I did use the reswitch and when I launch the game with the reswitch window open the game minimizes itself and nothing happens when i clicked on it.

you can force it manually in the gamer profile XML found in "My Documents > My Games > Far Cry Primal". Search for the "height" and "width" attributes

I've already tried that, I did it and nothing happened and the game reverted the change and I tried to set it as read only and the game crashed. Whenever I launch the game it starts up the first time set up for 2 seconds and then plays.

Then you just need a 2nd hand hd monitor which you can pick up for peanuts (I never had a problem getting monitors..currently using a Samsung 4K monitor since I had to upgrade last year...also got a GTX 1080 Windforce..now I can play anything) and your all set.......
