C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[Random Number]\2010
if you do not see that folder contact Ubisoft Support or try always launching Uplay as Run as Administrator
by the way i have used Akuna's backed up saves here and they work fine once ya put them in the proper folder
he bought the game on Steam i bought mine elsewhere (DLGAMER.com) its a Uplay only version. my saves just go to a diferernt # folder
thankyou for those BTW Akuna :)
if your game is not making that folder that Akunamattata referenced, with your steam based version .... you should contact Ubisoft support
Accept save files thats what i remembered it says corrupted files and i didnt managed to find save files just sav files they are for non steam and uplay versions i think (i might be wrong as hell)
with FarCry 3 your saves are encrypted to your Uplay account .. and can not be shared
same is NOT TRUE with FC 4 or Primal ..if you drop the save files in the proper folder they work fine
the save file format for Primal is .save .. same with Far cry 4
not .sav
with far cry 4
each save consists of 4 small files
1.save
1.save.upload
2.save
2.save.upload
one is an auto save the other is a user created save point, the other ones are upload files that save to the cloud ,and it will always make those .upload files even if you shut off the cloud save option in Uplay settings
with Primal its multiple save files 1 - 17 is what shows on my drive .save and .save.upload
(far cry 4 had a limited amount of saves )
as i already spoke about .. i have tested and used Akuna's backed up far cry Primal saves here and they worked ..
he has the Steam + Uplay version of the game
i have the standard Uplay only version of the game
he also shared his ,save files with me for Far Cry 4 .. but we both own the steam version of that ..
but i have used my far cry 4 backed up save files on other peoples systems that had the Uplay only version of far cry 4 .. again the AC series games may be encrypted to your Uplay account .. i know they are with far cry 3 since so many ppl pirated the game, they changed the file format from .sav to .save
and i have shared my saves before when Primal first shipped .. with a few steam users
they worked fine ..again i bought the Uplay only version of the title .. you just have to put them in the right folder to match your version
steam + uplay the go in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[Random Number]\2029
with a uplay only version they go in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[Random Number]\2010
What you said was right?
both of us have FC 4 on steam but he bought Primal on steam .. i bought the uplay only version of FC 4 primal ..and yes it uses a differnt folder nunber to save the games saves to
same was true with Far cry 4
with the steam version the saves went to a differing location then the uplay only version
C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 856
the Uplay only version they go in
C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 420
FOR FAR CRY 4
with Primal they go as as i posted above ..
steam + uplay the go in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[Random Number]\2029
with a uplay only version they go in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[Random Number]\2010
i used Akunka's saves here without an issue , for FC primal .. you just have to cut and paste em (the saves ) to the proper folder for your version
and keep the Uplay cloud save sync setting OFF ..
again i install uplay to my C drive ..always do ..thats where your save files go to
i never ever install uplay to any other drive other then C
uplay likes to be on the same drive as your OS .. and my C drive is an SSD drive ..
so it'll load faster
